MY WORKING DAY: COMPLEX NEEDS WORKER
I am a Complex Needs Worker, who delivers support as part of the Women’s Lives Leeds Service. This project has a unique alliance of eleven women and girls organisations from across Leeds. Between us we have specialisms in domestic violence, mental health, sexual health, sex work, trafficking, substance misuse, child sexual exploitation and education.
Growing up with an alcoholic, sexually, abusive father has affected nearly every relationship I’ve ever had. Throughout my life, I’ve endured years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. From a young age, I started to self-harm and as I headed into adulthood, self-harm was still part of my life.
