Family Nurse Partnership

 

Are hosting 3 joint event with Leeds Women's Aid for young women in South, West and East Leeds

25th November

(1st,2nd & 9th Dec)

The Beck Project

 

Will facilitate 4 x 2 hour sessions with girls aged 13 – 19 in East Leeds focussing on healthy relationships and discussing the impact of DV.  Self defence classes will also be held

26th November

Women's Health Matters

Are working with their women's group to create a banner for Reclaim The Night and encouraging women to attend on the night

28th November

Reclaim The Night

Women in Leeds will march around the city centre to reclaim places where women feel vulnerable from attack. 6pm Outside Art Gallery. Awareness raising sessions will also be held with local community groups

30th November

Lofthouse Children's Centre

Will facilitate 2 self defence and information sessions. One with girls from the high school and one with mothers in the community. Also outreach.

2nd December

SARSVL (Support After Rape & Sexual Violence Leeds)

SARSVL, a new organisation which aims to support women whose lives have been affected by sexual violence, will host an event to launch their website, with guest speakers, questions and answer sessions and informal networking.

3rd December

Kippax Children's Centre

Will run a series of information and awareness raising events on DV and women's health issues, self protection workshops will also be included

   

4th December

Refugee Council

A lunchtime event will be held to raise awareness with refugee and asylum seeking women with a focus on female empowerment, peace and safety.

7th December

Middleton Children's Centre

Will be hosting an event for local women that will include providing DV information whilst benefiting from pampering sessions

10th December

Shine Enterprise Building

Healthy Relationships Workshop. Forced Marriage. Alternative therapy treatments. To raise awareness in communities and encourage support for women and children experiencing violence.

10th December

City Development Women's Conference

An information stall will be established for women attending the conference to access

10th December

Kentmere Children's Centre

Will be raising awareness with displays of information on their information board and facilitating self defence classes which help to improve women's awareness of violence as well as increase self confidence

Throughout 16 Days

City & Holbeck, Pudsey Weetwood and NE Police divisions

Each of the police divisions will be distributing and displaying information as well as having dedicated days of action focussed on DV
